CanalSat CEO Guy Lafarge believes there will be a strong demand for high-definition (HD) services in France. The direct-to-home operator likely will be one of the leaders in bringing HD services to French households.

Lafarge told Satellite Today he expects a strong consumer interest in the service. “We believe our subscriber base is very interested in this type of offer. … For us, the driver is the content, premium and exclusive content.”
