Telecommunications Systems Inc. extended its satellite coverage over several Asia Pacific region countries, the company announced June 21.

Telecommunications’ Swiftlink Global Satellite Service, launched in August 2005, provides high-speed communications access for disaster response teams, military units and business executives via mobile units.

With the expansion, the service is available to 70 percent of the world’s populated regions, Telecommunications said.
