MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. will build a new ground station for downloading Radarsat data in Italy, the company announced June 20. The station, dubbed Marsec, will join MacDonald Dettwiler’s network of 27 stations for received data collected by the Radarsat-1 satellite.

MacDonald Dettwiler also announced that renewal agreements with existing network station clients valued at more than 4 million Canadian dollars ($3.6 million).
