Sistemas Satelitales de México received a contract from Comsat México to provide Ku-band satellite capacity aboard the AMC-4 satellite, SES Americom announced June 12.

The capacity will be used to deliver broadband and transactional VSAT and SCPC services to Comsat México customers in the United States, Mexico and Latin America. Comsat and Elara Comunicaciones recently signed contracts with I+D Mexico and Farmacias de Similares to deploy more than 1,000 VSATs that will be used to process electronic toll payments as well as for a pharmacy network in Mexico.
