Taide, a subsidiary of Telenor Satellite Services, has completed installation of an advanced communications network for Kuwait Airways in cooperation with Hasibat Information Technologies of Kuwait, Telenor announced.

Taide has completed work on the pilot projects under a five-year contract signed in June 2005 to support Hasibat’s Outsourcing IT Infrastructure Project. Installation of operational systems at four locations in the United Kingdom is scheduled to begin in July. Roll out of the new networks in as many as seven locations in Pakistan and Oman will begin soon after.

The network will support Kuwait Airways’ day-to-day operations at about 130 remote locations around the world through a hub at Telenor’s Nittedal (Norway) Teleport.
