Michael Strianese has been named interim CEO of L-3 Communications following the death of Frank Lanza, L-3 announced June 9. Lanza, who co-founded the company, passed away June 6. Strianese also will continue as CFO, a position he has held since March 2005.

L-3’s board formed an executive committee to conduct a search for a permanent CEO and also appointed Robert Millard as non-executive chairman of the company.
