Panamsat To Provide World Cup In HD Across Latin America
Panamsat announced June 8 it would be providing every major Latin American broadcaster with the 2006 World Cup for their standard and HD channels across the continent. Panamsat will deliver 21 full days of the matches, which will be beamed from Europe to across Latin America via the Panamsat fleet. Panamsat will use up to 40 paths across nine satellites to deliver the coverage.
Panamsat will work directly with the three main video distribution satellites for the region to provide coverage for Latin America and the U.S. Spanish-speaking fans.
