Worldspace Satellite Radio announced May 31 it would commission a new satellite uplink facility in Dubai under an agreement with Sama Communications Co. Ltd. (Samacom). The facility will allow Worldspace to broadcast live programming from Dubai as well as boost Worldspace’s satellite radio content delivery. Samacom will maintain and operate the uplink at part of the company’s existing infrastructure in Dubai.
