SES Astra signed a deal with Germany’s Anixe GmbH & Co. KG for the transmission of a high-definition (HD) TV channel. SES Astra will broadcast the Anixe HD channel from the satellite operators main orbital position at 19.2 degrees East.

“The new contract with SES Astra allows us to expand our offer and business into the growing sector of HDTV,” Emanuel Lapidakis, managing director of Anixe HD said in a statement.
