Seamobile Inc. has acquired Maritime Telecommunications Network Inc., a provider of satellite-based broadband communications and networking services for the maritime industry, Seamobile announced May 11. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Cruise travelers can take their own cell phones, Blackberry devices and laptops, read their hometown newspaper, watch live TV, access bank accounts through onboard ATMs and much more,”William Marks, CEO of Seamobile, said in a statement. “It is truly a new day at sea.”
