Lockheed Martin Corp announced April 28 that Joanne Maguire would succeed Thomas Marsh as executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Space Systems when Marsh retires July 1.

Maguire will be responsible for all business operations and activities of the corporation’s $7 billion Space Systems unit. Since 2003, Maguire has served as Marsh’s deputy and has been involved in all aspects of managing the business.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Maguire served as deputy to the chief executive of TRW Space & Electronics, the culmination of a 28-year career with TRW that included high-level leadership positions in the company’s civil and military space divisions and in business development.

Marsh has led Lockheed Martin Space Systems since June 2003 and previously served as president of the company’s former Missiles and Space Operations.
