French satellite pay-TV operator, TPS is teaming up with France Telecom (FT) to offer IPTV subscribers HD (High-Definition) content at the beginning of June.

Customers will be able to see events such as the FIFA World Cup, documentaries and other live events in HD. France Telecom’s IPTV offer ‘MaLigneTV’ has 230,000 subscribers. ‘MaLigneTV’s subscribers will be able to enjoy comprehensive sports coverage in HD. As well as the FIFA World Cup, they will be able to see the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga soccer games in HD. French basketball will also be broadcast in HD. Customers will also be able to enjoy HD movies on the TPS Star channel.
