Eutelsat Survey Measures 2.8 Million Digital DTH Hot Bird Homes in France
As of January, 6.7 million homes in France received channels from Eutelsat Communications‘ Hot Bird neighborhood, the company announced April 6.
The findings are included in Eutelsat’s 2006 Survey on satellite and cable reception of television channels broadcast from the company’s key video neighborhoods for the French market. The study, conducted in January, also found 2.8 million homes equipped for direct-to-home (DTH) service and 3.9 million cable homes.
The number of DTH homes increased by 10 percent between April 2004 and January, with 1.6 million homes in France not served by terrestrial reception equipped for DTH analog reception of France’s national channels from Atlantic Bird 3.
