Trimble To Launch New GPS Service In Great Britain
Trimble plans to launch its new Trimble VRS Now service for Great Britain in May, the company announced March 29.
VRS Now, using data provided by the nationwide GPS network operated by Great Britain’s mapping agency, Ordnance Survey, will deliver centimeter-level positioning information suitable for use in surveying, urban planning, urban and rural construction, environmental monitoring, resource and territory management, disaster prevention and relief, and scientific research. The enhanced GPS location data will be available without the need to use a base station, Trimble said.
