Space Explorations Technology Corp. (SpaceX) postponed the inaugural flight of its Falcon 1 rocket by a day to March 24, the company announced.

The company performed a static fire test of its rocket March 22 and had intended to perform the large March 23. “No major issues were discovered following the static fire, but, as a cautionary measure, we are going to take one more day to review data and verify system functionality,” the company posted on its Web site.

The launch from Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, which will carry the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falconsat-2 into orbit, is slated for 4 p.m. EST.
