Globecomm Systems Inc. will deploy an iDirect Technologies platform to support customers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, iDirect announced March 6.

The initial deployment will include an iDirect 5IF hub, allowing Globecomm Systems to launch multiple shared networks and support multiple remote sites throughout the EMEA region.

Globecomm will use the system to meet demand for broadband Internet Protocol (IP) access, as well as the growing market for other IP centric applications traditionally supported by terrestrial networks.
