Raytheon Co. will deliver 15 submarine satellite communication systems to the U.S. Navy under a $35.9 million contract, the company announced March 1.

The Submarine High Data Rate systems link the vessels to the Global Broadcast service, the Milstar satellite constellation and the Defense Satellite Communication System, providing multi-band communications capability. Raytheon has delivered more than 71 of the systems to the Navy throughout the last six years under contracts valued at more than $160 million.
