Telesat says it will be serving as the exclusive satellite carrier for Auroras Entertainment; an end-to-end provider of IPTV for the North American market including Alaska and Hawaii. Auroras plans to offer SD and HD IPTV content on C-band on Telesat’s Anik F2 satellite, and via “terrestrial elements’ as well, says a Telesat news release. The goal is to allow telephone companies and other broadband operators to deliver high quality programming using Auroras’ IPTV service as content.
