Boeing Co. will restructure operations in its Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) into three business profit and loss centers organized around capabilities, the company announced Jan. 27.

Roger Krone has been named president of Networks and Space Systems unit, which will include Boeing’s space and expendable launch businesses, space and intelligence systems and space exploration operations.

Boeing also will added an Advanced Defense and Security Systems unit to IDS, with George Muellner as president. The organization will include all advanced programs, but will continue to be linked with Boeing Phantom Works to develop advanced technologies.
