Antoine de Chassy has been named the new president of Spot Image Corp., the U.S. marketing arm of France’s imagery satellite operator, the company announced Jan. 24.

De Chassy served the last three years as vice president for strategy and COO of Spot Image SA in Toulouse, France, overseeing Spot’s network of global subsidiaries and offices. Prior to joining Spot, he served as president of Fleximage SA, a value-added imagery firm serving the defense and intelligence markets.

“Antoine has been instrumental in strengthening our global network and in helping to manage the technology/business interface for Spot,” Hervé Buchwalter, CEO of Spot’s worldwide operations, said in a statement. “His sales and marketing background will help shape the future direction of our U.S. operations in relation to industry trends, and the evolution of Spot’s business model in the western hemisphere.”

De Chassy replaces Neal Carney, who will leave Spot March 1.
