Datapath Inc. announced Jan. 24 that it has acquired the assets of Third Rail Americas Inc., a wireless broadband network provider.

The acquisition provides Datapath with new capabilities that extend the effective reach of its satellite communications networks with wireless solutions that deliver secure, real-time broadband connectivity for voice, data and Internet.

“Our acquisition of new wireless capabilities helps us support our customers’ dynamic requirements,” Andy Mullins, CEO of Datapath, said in a statement. “This is the latest step in Datapath’s continuing growth from a leading systems integration company to an innovative communications solution provider that helps our customers solve mission-critical communications challenges.”
