Launch of Advanced Land Observing Satellite Postponed Again
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) postponed the launch of the Advanced Land Observing satellite until Jan. 24 due to problems with ground facilities used for launch, JAXA announced. The agency is investigating a malfunction discovered in one of the facilities that monitors the temperature of the air conditioner for the payload fairing during countdown.
The mission, which will originate from the Tanegashima Space Center, previously was delayed to replace a faulty telemetry transmitter aboard the H-2A launch vehicle.
