New Horizons Heads To Pluto
NASA‘s New Horizons mission began its nine-year flight to Pluto after two days of delays. The satellite was launched aboard an International Launch Services Atlas 5 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., Jan. 19.
New Horizons, NASA’s first mission to Pluto, will use multiple instruments to study the planet and its moon Charon when it arrives in 2015.
