Nera Satcom CEO Hopes For Revenue Gains In 2006
Nera Satcom CEO Stig-Are Mogstad is confident that the terminal manufacturer will see some revenue growth in 2006 due to the introduction of Inmarsat‘s BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) services and the resulting demand for terminals.
“When it comes to revenues in 2005 compared to 2004, we are pretty flat,” Mogstad said. We have not seen any major growth in 2005. In 2006, given that the BGAN does not cannibalize the existing portfolios much more heavily than we expect, we see a slight revenue growth. Of course, the BGAN terminals are much cheaper than the previous generations, but we believe that increased volumes will compensate for the lower prices.”
