Eutelsat signed a capacity contract with Telekom Srbija, one of Eastern Europe’s leading telcos, for capacity on the Hot Bird 7A satellite.

The contract calls for the lease of a single transponder for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend the deal to five years. Telekom Srbija plans to use the capacity to develop a new offer of digital broadcasting services.

Hot Bird 7A is scheduled for launch Feb. 21 aboard an Ariane 5 ECA.
