The Russian Space Agency postponed the launch of the Kazsat satellite until the first half of 2006 due to unspecified technical problems, according to a Dec. 21 report by the Russian News & Information Agency. Kazsat is the first satellite being launched by Kazakhstan and is designed to provide TV broadcast and communications for Kazakhstan, Central Asia and parts of Russia.
