Westar Offers Free Transmission Services Through Remainder Of 2005

Westar Satellite Services said Dec. 19 it is offering broadcasters free digital MPEG transmissions between its Dallas and New York facilities to celebrate the opening of its New York location. The offer is available to current customers and any news organizations that want to test Westar’s services. News outlets from across the United States will be able to send an unlimited amount of video and data at a transport rate of up to 8 megabytes.
