Alcatel Alenia Space said Dec. 19 it received the acceptance by the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) of the Syracuse 3 military communications satellite system. Alcatel qualified the Syracuse 3 system two months after the launch of the Syracuse 3A satellite. The qualification system review was held Dec. 7, enabling DGA to deliver the Syracuse 3 system to the French armed forced by the end of the year, as committed.
