BSkyB announced that COO Richard Freudenstein will leave the company in mid 2006. Freudenstein is returning to Australia after spending more than seven years with Sky, six of those as COO. Before leaving, Freudenstein is expected to play a key role in the launch of the satellite pay-TV operator’s high-definition television offering, as well as a number of significant rights negotiations.
