Sirius Satellite Radio and the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced Dec. 13 a multi-year agreement which expands the current relationship between the two organizations and makes Sirius an official NBA marketing partner.

Sirius has exclusive satellite radio rights for live NBA game broadcasts and carries more than 1,000 regular season games as well as all playoff games. As part of the expansion, Sirius launched NBA Radio, a year-round station devoted to NBA content.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
