Spectrum Signal Baseband Products To Be Used In Military Satellites

Spectrum Signal Processing Inc. said Dec. 9 its Flexcomm Pro-3500 baseband processing engine will be used for the development of a software communications architecture (SCA)-compliant waveform intended for use in a next-generation military satellite communications system.

The communications system is designed to provide simultaneous voice, data and video communication services for U.S. and allied forces around the globe. The SCA-compliant waveform will be able to operate on the Joint Tactical Radio System devices.

Spectrum Signal did not disclose the name of the company or the value of its contract.
