German satellite pay TV operator Premiere broadcast its first live high-definition (HD) program Dec. 3 as part of a field test for subscribers. The soccer match between VfB Stuttgart and FC Bayern Munchen was available in HD to Premiere customers who received the company’s Pace Micro Technology DS 810 KP HD receivers prior to the game.

Premiere’s full suite of HD offerings is scheduled to debut in early 2006.
