NSAB Changes Company Name To SES Sirius AB
Nordic Satellite AB (NSAB) will change its name to SES Sirius AB, citing that it no longer views itself as serving just the Nordic region.
“Our organization has undergone great changes due to our expansion in the Baltic region and in Eastern Europe, which in recent years have become our new domestic markets,” SES Sirius CEO Per Norman said in a statement. “Our company now has the same name as our satellites, which makes communication with our customers and interest companies easier. Since we are part of the SES Global satellite group, it is natural for us to also have the prefix SES in our company name.”
SES Astra holds 75 percent of SES Sirius, with the Swedish Space Corp. owning the remaining 25 percent.
