Sirius Satellite Radio announced Dec. 1 that Mazda is offering Sirius receivers as a port-installed option in a variety of 2006 model year vehicles, including the Mazda 3, Mazda 6, MPV, and MX-5 Miata models. The manufacturers suggested retail price of $430 includes six months of Sirius service. Mazda customers who purchase a longer-term contract for Sirius beyond the initial six months will be eligible for special discounts, but details were not released.
