Canada’s Department of National Defence deployed MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.‘s (MDA) satellite surveillance and intelligence information solution for the Brigade Training Event 2005, MDA announced Nov. 30.

The exercise demonstrated that commercial satellite imagery received directly in the field could enhance the effectiveness of military operations by providing commanders with improved situational awareness in their area of interest. The U.S. Army and Air Force previously have deployed the MDA solution.
