MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) announced Nov. 28 it completed the acquisition of certain assets from EMS Canada. MDA announced the acquisition of EMS Canada Oct. 31. Specific terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but EMS Technologies said it expected to its existing debt by about $20 million with the proceeds from the sale.

Concurrent with closing this transaction, MDA said it sold a non-strategic subset of the assets to Com Dev. Ltd. The terms of that deal were not disclosed.
