XM Satellite Radio and Napster said Nov. 21 a beta version of the XM+Napster integrated music service is available. The online service provides a single interface for accessing, purchasing and downloading music broadcast on XM’s satellite radio service. XM+Napster also allows XM subscribers to create playlists with music tracks from their entire digital music collection.

In a separate announcement, XM said it inked a deal with New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter to promote XM’s Major League Baseball (MLB) programming. Jeter will be featured throughout XM’s broad MLB marketing activities and will make regular guest appearances on various MLB Home Plate programs. Financial terms of the deal with Jeter were not disclosed.
