The Tata Sky Ltd. direct-to-to home joint venture signed a lease agreement with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for capacity aboard the Insat-4A satellite, Tata Sky announced Nov. 14.
Tata Sky, a joint venture between the Tata Group and News Corp‘s Star India, will lease all 12 Ku-band transponders aboard the satellite, which will be used to broadcast 150 digital channels across India.
Financial details of the agreement were not released.
