Mainstream Data announced Nov. 16 that it has entered into an agreement with United Press International (UPI) to distribute UPI’s news services via satellite to the Middle East. These news services include UPI’s Arabic News Service, UPI International Intelligence and UPI Security & Terrorism. Mainstream will use its DVB broadcast satellite network on Telestar-12 for service delivery and also will assume end-to-end responsibility for the installation and maintenance of satellite receivers using.
