Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) said Nov. 16 it reached agreement with Anydata to develop next generation handsets supporting both satellite and terrestrial cellular connectivity on MSV’s hybrid wireless/satellite network. The terms of the agreement call for Anydata to develop a complete component specification and evaluate and test components for a hybrid satellite/wireless L-band clamshell camera phone. Financial terms of the development deal were not disclosed.
