Swe-Dish Satellite Systems AB said Nov. 15 the South African Broadcasting System (SABC) will use the Swe-Dish IPT Suitcase to expand its coverage in the countries that are a part of the South African Development Corp., including Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Mozambique and Malawi.

SABC will use the IPT Suitcase systems to strengthen its satellite newsgathering operations, to cover national breaking news and to assist in coverage of overseas news and major events. The IPT Suitcase allows news teams to do live broadcast video transmissions at speeds of up to 5 megabits per second, Internet protocol-based intercom, voice over IP and audio broadcast, as well as store and forward video and audio files.
