Echostar Names New Board Member

Echostar Communications Corp. announced that Gary Howard has joined the company’s board of directors effective Nov. 8. Howard also will serve on the Nominating and Compensation Committees of Echostar’s board.

Howard served as executive vice president and COO of Liberty Media Corp. from July 1998 to February 2004 and also served on Liberty’s board of directors from July 1998 to January 2005.
