The European Space Agency‘s (ESA) Venus Express spacecraft was launched Nov. 9 by a Russian Soyuz-Fregat rocket operated by Starsem, ESA announced.
The spacecraft will enter orbit around Venus in April, where it will study the structure, chemistry and dynamics of the planet’s atmosphere.
