Hughes Network Systems (HNS) said Nov. 2 that SES Americom has endorsed HNS’ DW7000 platform and the Internet-protocol-over-satellite standard upon which it is based. The standard is used by the routers to achieve high bandwidth efficiency. The DW7000 family of broadband routers consists of offerings for enterprises and for small business and consumer users that provide broadband and always-on Internet connectivity.
