KVH Industries Inc. unveiled Nov. 1 an embedded automotive Tracvision system intended to support volume original equipment manufacturing and special program vehicle applications. Using the same hybrid phased-array antenna technology found in the aftermarket Tracvision A5, the embedded automotive system provides reception of DirecTV programming throughout the United States. The embedded system can be installed within a vehicle’s headliner and remains hidden below the level of the roof rack and will not be available for aftermarket purchase.
