According to an Oct. 28 report form Russian news agency Itar-Tass, the Russian satellite Mozhayets-5 failed to detach from the third stage of its Kosmos 3M rocket.

“According to the latest telemetric data, the Mozhayets has not detached from the third stage of the Kosmos-3M carrier rocket and is currently rotating with it on a near-earth orbit,” a Russian official said.

The seven other spacecraft aboard the Kosmos rocket, which was launched Oct. 27 from Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia, were successfully placed into orbit.
