Telecommunication Systems Inc., (TCS) a provider of wireless communications, announced Oct. 25 a strategic partnership with ground systems manufacturer Thrane & Thrane Inc. to develop a portable broadband system for governments

Thrane & Thrane’s Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) terminal technology will be integrated into TCS’s Swiftlink family of secure, deployable communications solutions. The companies plan to co-market BGAN-based solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense, first responders and foreign military markets.
