General Motors (GM) plans to build 1.55 million vehicles with factory-installed XM Satellite Radios in 2006, up from 1.4 million in 2005 and 1.17 million in 2004, the company announced Oct. 26. For model year 2006, nearly 90 percent of U.S. retail models would offer factory-installed XM receivers as either standard equipment or as an option, GM said.
