Worldspace Satellite Radio said Oct. 13 its subscription satellite radio service is now available in Pune, India. Pune, with an estimated market of 3.5 million people, is the seventh Indian city to be served by Worldspace. Worldspace receivers are available at consumer outlets and through Worldspace directly at http://www.worldspaceasia.com.

“Pune represents Worldspace’s seventh of eight planned India city launches for 2005 and reinforces our commitment to executing on our strategic business plan,” Worldspace CEO Noah Samara said in a prepared statement.
