iDirect Technologies announced Oct. 12 it was ranked the fastest growing technology company in Virginia by Deloitte & Touche LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. The Fast 50 rankings are based on percentage revenue growth during a five-year period from 2000 through 2004. To be considered, companies must have operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2000 and at least $1 million in 2004; be headquartered in Virginia; and be a “technology company,” defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues or devotes a significant portion of revenues to research and development of technology. iDirect’s 2004 revenues of $50.36 million represented a 14,538 percent increase compared to 2000 revenues.
